- Kametz briefly dated fellow voice actor Erica Lindbeck. This relationship was terminated by Kametz's passing.
- On April 26, 2022, Kametz announced that he had metastatic colon cancer. A GoFundMe was posted on May 1, which raised over US$184,000 (around US$204,461 in September 2025).
- Sadly, Kametz succumbed to his cancer on June 9, 2022 at the age of only 39. He was cremated.
